A widespread rainfall is expected today with amounts of 1-2 inches forecast, mainly over southeast Georgia, where a flood watch is in effect until noon. Brief areal flooding is possible.

In addition, a brief period of moderate to heavy rainfall is possible over northeast Florida from 6 AM until about 1 PM today, and some temporary localized flooding is a possibility.

Isolated thunderstorms are also forecast through early this afternoon mainly northeast FL. A strong storm with gusty winds cannot be ruled out, from 9 AM until around 1-2 PM.
