A widespread rainfall is expected Friday and Friday night with 2 to 3 inches expected with local amounts of 3 to 4 inches. Areal flooding will be possible and thus a flood watch has been issued for all of southeast GA and most areas of northeast FL. 
     In addition, isolated to scattered severe storms will be possible mainly Friday afternoon and Friday evening.  The main threats will be damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and an isolated tornado is possible.
     River flooding over inland areas of southeast GA and northeast FL will continue to be a problem and likely worsen over the coming days and into next week.  Several river flood warnings are already in effect. Our river forecast page: https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=jax
